RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Lynette Danley Land is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy and Ethnic Studies Program at the University of Utah. Her research examines the academic and social experiences of women and people of color in higher education; particularly the recruitment and retention of Black women faculty members and students in academia. I adopt qualitative and document analysis research methods, and draw from gender and race-based epistemologies and methodologies primarily Critical Race Feminism (CRF), as well as other traditional frameworks from the social sciences to explore the diverse lived experiences of Black women and other underserved populations in academe
